About Coastal Queers
Our Mission
Coastal Queers is a community social group based in the LowCountry of South Carolina and Georgia. We are a group of volunteers dedicated to fostering and promoting the LGBTQIA+ community. Our mission is to create a safe space, organize social events, and bring together the members of the local queer culture. We believe that by connecting with each other we can build a stronger and more supportive LowCountry network.
Your Community Advocates
Your LGBTQIA+ community advocates are individuals who work to promote equality and acceptance for members of your community. Their work has been an integral part of the progress made towards a more accepting and inclusive society.

Open Position Details: We hope everyone is having a great 2025 so far. As we push further into the year we would like to take this time to thank all of our community members for all the support and encouragement. Our vision for Coastal Queers over this last year was one of rooting our foundation in the community and we are proud of that success. The outcome from the community has been amazing and we have received inspiring feedback. Moving forward our vision is to expand the ability to reach the community and provide more opportunities for engagement. We are looking for two or three individuals in our community that would like to step up and join our team as community advocates. Becoming a member of the team can come in different forms: from behind the scenes work , event hosting, community engagement, PR, and technical support as well as voting responsibilities and more.
